The Australia and New Zealand Disaster and Emergency Management Conference will provide a forum to examine the issues surrounding natural and man-made hazards.

In recent times we have endured horrific fires in Victoria, devastating earthquakes in New Zealand, heartbreaking flooding in Queensland, NSW and Victoria, damaging cyclones in North Queensland and tsunamis, volcanic eruptions, hurricanes and flooding in many parts of the world.

The 2012 conference will be held in Brisbane from 16-18 April at the Brisbane Convention Centre and will include a Special Interest Group meeting that will bring together representatives from volunteer groups to explore the ongoing challenges of their shared responsibilities including community engagement, corporate involvement and sustainable support.
