I have a question. One of my landlords is giving me a rough time asking about why I can't deposit her rent straight into her bank account from our trust account rather than waiting the 3 days for cheque to clear. I have tried explaining that we cannot just transfer money out of a trust account and that all monies taken from a trust account have to be done so via cheque for records.

Apparently she has another agent looking after her properties in another area that deposits straight into her accounts now whether that is because they may bank with the same bank or not I am not sure. Is this legislation correct when it comes to drawing a cheque or has it changed recently.

If you could give me some advice on this matter I would greatly appreciate this.
